FOX45 Playbook Open RE-SKIN

Skills: 3D Hard Surface Modeling, Lighting, Texturing, Multipass Rendering and Compositing

Similar to WJZ’s Purple Shows, FOX45 had a sports program covering the Baltimore Ravens football team, hosted by sports anchor Bruce Cunningham.

My task was to update the look of the open to be more defined than a generic locker room. I modeled a cubby and ceiling after a reference of the actual Ravens locker room in cinema 4d. I instanced the cubbies around the room along with an assortment of helmets, sneakers, and shirts that I also textured and used point lights to get slightly more realistic shadows on the scene. I then outputted separate specular and reflection passes to have finer control with compositing the chalkboard content in After Effects.

Overall, everything could’ve been done with more care and nuance, but this was my introduction to working with 3D elements for a spot.
